I believe beautiful photographs are only part of what you're investing in. You're also investing in the experience and the time together, and I want you to know exactly what you're walking into from the start.
Whether you're documenting your family, updating your portraits, or creating images for your business, I want the experience to feel as good as the photographs themselves.
Below you'll find my current introductory pricing, what's included, and a little more about how I work. These rates are already lower than my future pricing, so if you’ve been waiting for the right time to book, this is it. And if you're not sure what you need, just ask. We can figure it out together.
How it works
STEP 01
Book Your Session
Once you book your session, I’ll send over a contract and a short questionnaire so I can get to know you a little better. From there, we’ll start planning the details together, including your mood board, outfits and location.
Everything is done electronically, and there’s a $55 non-refundable retainer to secure your date and time.
STEP 02
Let’s Make Some Photographs
I’ll gently guide you throughout the session so you know what to do and what to expect. As you settle in, things will start to feel more natural, and you’ll find yourself thinking less about the camera, making room for the moments in between. The little interactions, the connection, the laughter and everything else that makes the photographs feel like you.
STEP 03
See Your Photographs
Within 3 weeks, you’ll receive your professionally edited images in an online gallery.
From there, you can choose your favourites, purchase prints, share your images with family and friends.

FAQ
What should we wear?
I always recommend choosing clothing that feels like you and works with the location and season we're photographing in. Neutrals, earthy tones and softer colours tend to photograph beautifully and keep the focus on you. I recommend avoiding heavy patterns, large logos and logo-heavy clothing, as they can be distracting in photographs.
Once we book your session, we'll talk through outfits and I'll help you put everything together.
What if we need to reschedule?
Weather: Since most of my sessions take place outdoors, I keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to your session. If the weather isn't suitable for photographs, we'll work together to reschedule your session.
Sickness / Emergencies: Life happens. If you or someone in your family is sick or something unexpected comes up, let me know as soon as you’re able, and we’ll find another date that works.
There’s no additional fee to reschedule your session as long as it's within the next 3 months.
Can I use the photographs for social media and marketing?
Families & Couples: Absolutely! Your session includes personal usage rights, so you’re welcome to share your photographs on social media, print them for yourself, and share them with friends and family.
Branding: Your branding session includes commercial usage rights, so you’re welcome to use your photographs on your website, social media, email marketing and other materials used to promote your business.
A tag or shoutout is always appreciated, but there’s absolutely no obligation. ❤️
Are travel expenses included in your packages?
For a limited time while I launch Di.Ann Photography, I’m not charging additional travel fees for your session in Kananaskis, Canmore, Banff and Drumheller. So, this is a great time to book.
What if my kids don't cooperate?
Kids are kids. If someone needs a break, we take a break. If they need to move around, we move around. I don't expect little ones to behave perfectly for a camera, and I won't turn the session into a battle to make them do it.
I'll work with what they're giving us and keep things moving so we can capture the connection, personality and little moments that make your family yours.
Where do sessions take place?
I love using beautiful outdoor locations to add to the story of your photographs. Once I know a little more about you and what you're looking for, I'll help you choose a location that fits your session, the season and the kind of photographs you want to create.
I offer in-home sessions for families and individuals who would prefer a more personal setting. We can use the spaces you already love and the little details that make your home yours.
How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking at least two weeks in advance, especially if you have a specific date or location in mind. That said, if you're planning something last minute, reach out anyway. I'll always do my best to make it work if my schedule allows.
When will I receive my photographs?
Your gallery will be delivered within 3 weeks of your session. If you need your photographs sooner, rush delivery may be available with enough advance notice, depending on my schedule and availability. Just let me know when you inquire, and I'll do my best to accommodate your timeline.
Will you share our photographs on your website or social media?
I genuinely believe that people and their stories are beautiful, and I take great pride in sharing the people I photograph as part of my portfolio. Everyone has a place in my brand, and I love being able to show the variety of people, personalities and stories I get to photograph.
If you prefer not to have your images shared publicly, I'm absolutely happy to honour that. Just let me know before we sign the contract, so I can make sure the appropriate usage agreement is included.
Can we bring our dog?
Absolutely! If your dog is part of your family or your story, I'm happy to include them. Just let me know ahead of time so we can choose a location that works well for everyone.
Do you photograph weddings?
Yes! I photograph elopements and small weddings. Wedding photography also includes a complimentary one-hour engagement session at a location of your choice.
I'm currently offering introductory wedding pricing, so reach out and tell me a little about what you're planning. I'll be happy to share the details.
What if I need to cancel my session?
I completely understand that sometimes plans change. While I’d be sad to see your session go, I’ll always respect your decision. Please let me know as soon as you’re able.
The $55 non-refundable retainer will remain non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
