There is something about a sunflower field that makes you feel a little whimsical. We'll walk through the flowers, explore, play, and make room for all those little moments. Because sometimes the photographs you'll love most aren't the ones where everyone is looking at the camera. They're the moments in between the moments, when you're naturally and beautifully you!

A $55 non-refundable retainer secures your date and is applied toward your package. The remaining balance is due within 24 hours of your session.

Want more? With all my mini sessions, you’ll have the option to purchase your entire gallery of photographs for an additional $75.
SunMaze admission is not included in the session fee. Each person attending will need to purchase admission directly from Bowden SunMaze.
Make an Evening of it
Bowden SunMaze is more than just a sunflower field. Explore the sunflower and other mazes, U-pick flowers and vegetables, farm activities, and more. So I encourage you to give yourself time to explore before or after your session and make an evening of it.
These sessions are scheduled for the evening for a reason. As the sun gets lower, the light becomes softer and warmer, creating that beautiful glow through the sunflower fields. The Friday and Saturday extended hours give us more time to slow down.
A Few Important Things
What should we wear?
Think coordinated, not matching.
Soft neutrals, earthy tones, denim, creams, warm browns, muted greens, and soft blues can all look beautiful against the sunflowers. Most importantly, choose something you can comfortably move around in. Try to avoid heavy graphics, large logos, or very bright patterns that can distract from your family.
What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?
These sessions take place outdoors, so we'll keep an eye on the forecast. If weather conditions make it unsafe or unsuitable to photograph, I'll be in touch with you directly to discuss the next steps.
What happens if I'm late?
Because mini sessions are scheduled back-to-back, arriving late will shorten your session time. Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early so we can make the most of our time together.
Will the sunflowers look the same throughout September?
Not necessarily! Bowden SunMaze has multiple sunflower plantings that bloom at different times throughout the season. This means the fields may look a little different from one date to another, but there will be blooming sunflowers throughout the mini session dates.
